Aviation Metalcraft is preparing to sell off part of its business as ‘Pietenpol kits & Components’. The owner, Paul Prince, is looking for a company or individual to continue developing this popular design of homebuilt aircraft.
The Pietenpol Air Camper has become the most widely built plans-built aircraft in the UK. The availability of high quality metalwork kits for both the original wooden fuselage version and, latterly, the tubular metal fuselage version designed by Paul Prince, has played a major part in creating this market.
After 15 years of continuous production of Pietenpol Air Camper metalwork kits and components, specialist manufacturer Aviation Metalcraft has decided to sell off this part of its manufacturing operation. This decision has been made necessary by a realignment of the company’s business strategy.
The sale will include the design rights and Intellectual Property relating to the tubular steel fuselage and all its components and fittings. Also included is the tooling and jigs to produce the tubular fuselage, and its components and fittings, and jigs and tooling for all the metalwork in the empennage and wings. The vast majority of the metalwork is produced on CNC laser cutting machines. Universal .DXF and .DWG files of each component will be included.
Offers are invited in the region of 60,000 GBP (120,000 USD / 88,000 Euro)
